Welcome to the Team CIA Racing Page.  CIA is short for "Changes in Altitudes" a Beneteau First 40.7 racing boat owned by Russ Chandler and Peter Charczenko from 2000 to 2009 in San Diego.  CIA made its last race in San Diego on August 5, 2009 in the final Beer Can race, overcoming a false start and then making up ground and finishing ahead of all of the other 40.7's in the fleet for one last time.  On September 10, 2009, CIA was purchased by Mr. Charles Devanneaux, who brought to its new home in Marina del Rey.

This website will continue to carry memories of CIA's races and includes links to other of Russ Chandlers's sailing adventures around the world.
